Mihara Yasuhiro x Puma Clyde “MY 56″ Posted: 18 Aug 2011 01:01 PM PDT The Puma Clyde is undoubtedly one of the most recognizable and loved sneakers to ever hit the pavement. Originally designed for basketball purposes, this silhouette has slowly evolved into a lifestyle sneaker, making this model one of the most versatile silhouettes in the Puma collection. Today, we’ve spotted the all new Mihara Yasuhiro x Puma Clyde “MY 56″ collaboration, a sight that might have some sneakerheads doing a doubletake. At first glance, all four pairs sport the classic suede and leather two-toned approach but upon closer examination, the pair is much different than its predecessors, making use of futuristic 3D rubber spheres which peak through the entire upper. Check out the four colorways shown below and let us know what you think. Posted: 18 Aug 2011 12:43 PM PDT Jordan Brand’s domination in the retro-basketball sneaker market is unquestioned and unmatched. With that control, the brand has also begun to reach out into the lifestyle sector, creating models such as the widely successful Jordan V.2 Grown. This chukka-esque silhouette has become a popular model for Jordan-heads and is seen today in two simple, monochromatic colorways. The first pair seen in today’s preview features a worn tumbled leather upper in navy while the second pair takes on a grey carbon-fiber-like synthetic upper. Both pairs are finished off with white midsoles and minimal branding. Look for these two colorways to drop later this summer/fall. Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Think Pink” Posted: 18 Aug 2011 11:22 AM PDT Fresh off a Drew League game winner by the Black Mamba, we get another peek at the man himself's next signature sneaker release. This one honors Kay Yow and all those affected by Breast Cancer with its "Think Pink" color scheme. The Pinkfire upper and accents not only look great, but to the benefit of the Kay Yow Foundation, Nike will be donating portions of the revenue from the sale of this Zoom Kobe VI. Look for it in stores on August 26th. RELATED: Nike Zoom Kobe VI “Think Pink” “Release Date Nike Zoom Kobe VI © Alex Kroviak for NiceKicks.com, 2011. | Permalink | 4 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
Sneaker Showdown: Nike Zoom Rookie LWP vs Nike 1/2 Cent Posted: 18 Aug 2011 10:58 AM PDT It's a battle of the Hardaway hybrids in this edition of Sneaker Showdown. Penny's first mish-mash Nike, the 1/2 Cent, shocked the world when it debuted in early 2009 in a Dark Neon Royal Foamposite One-honoring colorway, followed later by a variety of other colors. Now, it's the Zoom Rookie LWP we saw popping up in all sorts of looks, both Orlando-inspired and unique. Naturally, it's only right that we compare these two silhouettes in their best respective attire and ask you, the reader, which is better? Vote in the poll at the bottom of the page. The 15 Best Air Jordan 5s of All-Time Posted: 18 Aug 2011 10:28 AM PDT Some people will tell you that the Air Jordan 5 is the best Jordan ever. May sound like a stretch, but is it? The shoe’s been adopted by everyone from the Fresh Prince to Kanye, featured a dope ad campaign, and saw one of the illest designs. Oh yea, a guy named Michael did some pretty great stuff in them too. In addition to all those props they've manage to look good in just about every colorway that dropped. Nike Zoom Kobe VI Club Purple/Varsity Maize “Gradient” New Images Posted: 18 Aug 2011 09:58 AM PDT The Nike Zoom Kobe VI Club Purple/Varsity Maize “Gradient” is a shoe that has been heavily debated on this past week. This relatively new concept features a very unique look, sporting a gradient of varsity maize paint traveling from the medial face to the lateral face of the shoe. This yellow tone plays second fiddle to the club purple base tone, which is used liberally on the snakeskin textured upper. As you can see, the pair is finished off with a clean white side-panel Swoosh, which can also be seen on the midsole and heel-cup. Check out more images below and let us know if this is a must-cop for you.
