Nike Air Force 1 Low White/Green Posted: 20 Aug 2011 12:28 PM PDT Going green never felt so good. The Nike Air Force 1 Low releases in recycled color blocking for sustainable wear. White leather dresses the upper while green pops up on the branding, outsole, and tagging. A US release is likely, but until then you can grab them overseas at JD Sports. Posted: 20 Aug 2011 11:28 AM PDT We’ve all heard of the ASICS Gel-Lyte III but have you heard of the ASICS Gel-Yeti II? This relatively new model, first spotted late last year, has resurfaced yet again. Like it’s mythological inspiration, the Gel-Yeti II is one of the rarer silhouettes in the ASICS lineup. Today, we take a look at three colorways set to drop later this year. All three pairs sport completely monochromatic suede uppers that are complimented with black and dark brown sole units. Easy on-and-off lacing systems are also used to ensure that even the burliest paws can lace themselves up. Check out more angles below and let us know what you think. Michael Jordan’s 10 Best Games in the Air Jordan 5 Posted: 20 Aug 2011 10:43 AM PDT Every once in a while we need to be reminded how good Michael Jordan was. The 1989-90 season and the first half of the 1990-91 season saw MJ reaching championship form. On his feet were the Air Jordan 5s. Money did his thing in each OG colorway (minus the "Grapes") in what eventually culminated in taking the Bad Boys to seven games in the 1990 Eastern Conference Finals. The next year he'd get his first of six rings, but we look back at ten games in the Air Jordan 5 that got him there. Date: 3/28/90 MJ’s best game ever? Statistically, yes. Date: 3/20/90 Pat and MJ have a history. Date: 4/20/1990 4/20 proved the perfect time to light up the Bird-less Celtics. Date: 04/07/90 MJ went deep in the heart of Texas. Posted: 20 Aug 2011 10:28 AM PDT How ’bout them Cowboys? Today, we’ve spotted the latest installment of the Nike Air Max 90 in a colorway only fitting of “America’s Team.” A white leather and mesh base is draped on the majority of the upper with navy and grey accents adding contrast to the mudgaurd, lace eyelets, Swoosh, heel-tab and branding. The only thing missing now is the Star logo. Will this be a pair you add to your wardrobe? Dunked On: Michael Jordan’s 12 Footwear and Facial Combinations Posted: 19 Aug 2011 08:06 PM PDT Happy Aviation Day! Wait, what? For those of you who don’t know, today is National Aviation Day, an observation that celebrates the development of aviation. No disrespect to the Wright brothers, but what better way to celebrate (here at Nice Kicks) than to showcase the aviator of all aviators? Yes people, this aviator has wings too; in the form of the original Air Jordan logo. Today, we unveil the second installment of our “Dunked On” series (see our Dunked On: 15 Footwear and Facial Combinations of the 2000s). Instead of displaying footwear and facial combinations from multiple players, we decided to give MJ his own “Dunked On” installment on National Aviation Day. In this feature, you will see His Airness taking flight on Patrick Ewing, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo in sneakers such as the “Playoffs” Air Jordan 12, “He Got Game” Air Jordan 13 and the “Concord” Air Jordan 11 and many more. We even have a surprise on the last page! View our Dunked On: Michael Jordan’s 12 Footwear and Facial Combinations in its entirety below. Nike Air Lava Dome 2.4 Grey/Navy Posted: 19 Aug 2011 08:03 PM PDT Winter ready, fall approved, the Nike Air Lava Dome 2.4 looks to make its way into your rotation. A Medium Grey/Navy makeup borrows the look seen on the Steven Alan collection last January swapping out a chenille Swoosh for leather. Grey and mesh stand out on the upper on this weekend release hitting quickstrike accounts such as Extra Butter. Nike ACG Lava Dunk High Wheat/Royal Posted: 19 Aug 2011 02:58 PM PDT Last year the Nike ACG Lava Dunk High made a splash furthering the All Conditions Gear brand name and easing the acceptance of fusions. This year they look to build on the success with a line of vintage inspired colorways. A Wheat/Royal makeup leads off the lineup barring a suede upper and leather branding. Get them this weekend at Extra Butter. Nike ACG Lava Dunk High © Ian Stonebrook for NiceKicks.com, 2011. | Permalink | 7 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
