Nike Air Max LeBron VII Custom by Billie Jean

Posted: 06 Sep 2009 12:14 PM PDT

Nike Air Max LeBron VII

Yesterday, we showed you the London version of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII which represents “Tradition” in LeBron’s six credos of life. As we have seen recently, whenever there is a white/green colorway of the Air Max LeBron VII, a custom version is sure to follow.

That said, this multi-colored, customized Air Max LeBron VII was designed by London artist Billie Jean. As with previous customized Air Max LeBron VII colorways, this shoe also owns a plethora of qualities that are inspired by James’s life and the respective city.

"The inspiration for this shoe design came from Londoner's indomitable spirit during the Blitz, which has become folklore", says Billie Jean.

Specifically, the sneaker is inspired by traditional and non-traditional London motifs. For example, the flames seen on the side panel represents the Great Fire in 1666 which completely changed the physical look of the city. There are also images of an Indian Lady and Africa patterns which symbolize London’s culturally, diverse population. In addition, the Thames River is seen on the inside of each shoe. Air Jordan 12 Retro White/Varsity Red

Posted: 05 Sep 2009 12:43 PM PDT

Air Jordan 12

Sure, we just showed you this week’s Hot Topics; however, had we waited a little longer this would easily be the hottest of them all. The Air Jordan 12 has, or will be seen in multiple classic colorways this year including the “Nubuck”, the “Rising Sun” and the “Flu Game”. You can now add the infamous Air Jordan 12 Retro White/Varsity Red to the list of highly anticipated Jordan sneakers for 2009.

If you recall, the Air Jordan 12 White/Varsity Red originally hit the scene in 1997. Since then, it has not been retroed until this year. As for the makeup, it contains a sort of similar colorway to the aforementioned “Flu Game”, yet it features a predominance of white leather instead of the black nubuck. With that said, there are not many glaring differences between the OG version and this retro. Look for this instant classic to release some time in the winter. Meanwhile, click here to view additional photos.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII “Tradition” - London

Posted: 05 Sep 2009 11:43 AM PDT

Nike Air Max LeBron VII

The majority of you really took a liking towards the Behind The Scenes: Making Of The LeBron VII Paris Artist Series. I’m sure you would agree it supplies us with a different twist to the LeBron VII craze. However, we now have to return to our regularly scheduled program. Photos of the London version of LeBron’s seventh signature sneaker has surfaced on the web.

Much like the other city-dedicated Air Max LeBron VII’s, this particular shoe also owns the white/green color scheme that draws inspiration from ‘King James’ high school, St. Vincent St. Mary’s. However, the London version, which represents “Tradition”, contains specific details from LeBron’s teammates. For example, a picture of a couple of the St. Vincent St. Mary’s players with hands raised in the center of a huddle is featured on the tongue and quarter panel. This particular shoe, which was made in 123 pairs, is available at London Niketown and the opening day of the new London House of Hoops in Footlocker. Click here to view detailed photos.

Nike Destroyer’s Pack

Posted: 05 Sep 2009 11:13 AM PDT

Nike Destroyers Pack

For the past couple of years, Nike has created a “Destroyer’s” Pack which includes multiple colorways of the Dunk High. In 2007, we spotted the “Red Earth” colorway; however last year Nike revealed three new Dunk High colorways of “Destroyer’s” collection. Yet, this particular year seems to be very different from past “Destroyer” releases.

As opposed to the aforementioned releases, this Nike “Destroyer’s Pack possesses an Air Force 1 Mid to go along with two vibrant Dunk colorways. The Air Force 1 Mid contains a predominately black leather base with minimal yellow accents throughout the upper. As far as the Dunk color schemes, one owns a black/red base, while the remaining pair features a white/orange-black colorway. Available today at 21 Mercer. Also, click here to view the New Era fitted caps that coincide with the sneakers.

Nike Terminator

In honor of their 10th anniversary, Japanese label Swagger hooked up with Nike to create this Terminator High Supreme. The collaborative design, which we have shown you on two other occasions, is now available at select retailers such as Concepts.

This particular sneaker design may be one of the more uniquely-styled releases we have seen this year. As for the makeup, both sneakers are also smothered in a patent leather snakeskin texture which sits atop a monochromatic sole. Does the mismatch look suit you? Click here to view additional photos.

Nike Zoom Kobe IV "Rice High School"

Featuring a green, yellow and white colorway, these have a pretty unique setup. We’ve all seen a ton of Kobe IV’s as of late, especially for different high schools. Don’t forget the Westminster High PE’s we showed you back in July. Nike Air Max LeBron VII Low

Posted: 04 Sep 2009 10:58 AM PDT

Nike Air Max LeBron VII Low

Earlier this week, we broke the news that three Air Max LeBron VII Low colorways are set to drop next summer. Some scoffed at the idea, and some loved it. No matter how you felt about LBJ’s next known model, it looks like Nike has committed to an additional set of releases, as seen in the pictures we have for you today.

Eight total pairs, using what appears to be a mix of leather and a pseudo-nubuck, are to be expected. Nike has kept the VII news coming in heavily, and while the Lows have not yet been addressed much, this has all the makings of a full-scale LeBron line for the future.

Click here for pics of all the pairs.

Little is known as of yet, but one should assume these Footscapes will be extremely light and flexible. From the looks of it, these will feature another one of Nike’s innovative technologies in the Free sole from the running stable.

Will these release as a Footscape Free Flywire? A Free Flywire Footscape? While little news is known just yet, we’ll be sure to let you know as soon as more information breaks.

Silas x Vans Sk8-Hi

Posted: 04 Sep 2009 09:13 AM PDT

Vans Sk8-Hi

If you recall, around this time last year Silas celebrated its 10th-year anniversary by collaborating with Vans on a multi-colored Sk8-Hi model. This year, both sides have hooked up for yet another fresh colorway of the Sk8-Hi.

Similar to the previously-mentioned design that both sides worked on, this particular pair also possesses the Silas logo (S) on the base; however, instead of it only being featured on the Vans strip logo, it is seen throughout the entire side panel and collar area. This sneaker also owns a predominately black, red and white upper combined with a white vulcanized rubber sole. Available on September 19th at select Silas retailers.

SURU x DC Life Xander

Posted: 04 Sep 2009 08:58 AM PDT

SURU x DC Life Xander

Skate company DC has released a lot of great non-skate models out of their DC Life label as of late. For fall of 2009, they partnered with retailer SURU on this high top Xander sneaker, with a little help from a certain artist and musician.

Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda, bandmate of SURU owner Joe Hahn, provided the original artwork for the sole, which is a nice touch for those who only catch a glimpse as the wearer passes by. Like most of the DC Life designs, including the complete Fall Collection we showed you not too long ago, this sneaker maintains a clean design in black and light blue, all over a white vulcanized sole. The SURU logo appears on both the side of the ankle and the tongue. Mike Shinoda’s participation is given its due credit on the tongue as well, making for a total of three logos in that spot. These are limited to 500 pairs, so make sure to get on them quick when they release this holiday season.
