Diamond Supply Co. x DVS J-Dubb 2 “Tiffany”

Posted: 30 Jul 2009 12:43 PM PDT

Air Jordan Fusion 4 Cement Pack

DVS and Diamond Supply Co. have teamed up in the past, and today we have a preview of an upcoming release. Our first look at these showed a matching fitted as well.

The Diamond Supply Co. x DVS J-Dubb 2 “Tiffany” is the Jeron Wilson signature shoe. It features black combined with the always popular Tiffany blue. Epi-suede and leather are placed niceley throughout the uppers. A Diamond Supply Co. logo is placed on the otherwise simple side panel, while both companies share tag space on the tongue.

Air Jordan 1 Hi Strap Black/Volt-Yellow

Posted: 30 Jul 2009 12:37 PM PDT

Air Jordan 1

Photos of upcoming Air Jordan 1 releases continue to surface on the web. From the “Blue Sapphire” to the “Hall of Fame”, the Air Jordan 1 drops seem to have no boundaries or limits in 2009. With that said, check out this Air Jordan 1 Hi Strap Black/Volt-Yellow.

Similar to the Air Jordan 1 Black/Orion Blue we showed you yesterday, this particular shoe contains an all-black base done up in black leather. However, it does possess different attributes than the black/orion blue colorway. Besides the volt-colored midsole and removable strap, this Air Jordan 1 also owns a black patent leather swoosh. Look for this sneaker to hit retailers in November 2009. Click here to view additional photos.

Throwback Thursday: Air Jordan XII Black/Varsity Red OG

Posted: 30 Jul 2009 10:33 AM PDT

Air Jordan XII Black/Varsity Red

Earlier this week, photos surfaced and info spread about an upcoming retro Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” that honors MJ’s 38 point performance while playing in the 1997 NBA Finals with a bad case of the flu.  For this week’s Throwback Thursday we reached into the vault to pull out the original pair from ‘97.  While a few changes were made to the upcoming retro release, we wanted to give you a look back at the OG.

Despite coming in a Nike box, it was the first Air Jordan shoe to not have any Nike logos or markings on the inside or outside of the shoe.  Designed by Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan XII was inspired by the pre-WWII Rising Sun Japanese flag which will be remembered with a retro release later this year.  While there will long be debate regarding what shoe from the Air Jordan lineup was the best built, there are many arguments in favor of the Air Jordan XII.  The shoes upper was a thick, rich leather that would hold up indoors and out.  The soles featured herringbone traction as well as a midfoot carbon fiber shank for added stability.  Lastly, something that many still to this day appreciate is the Nike Zoom Air cushioning that made its debut in the Air Jordan XII.

As much as we love to see retros return, nothing can replace the original.  Click here to see additional photos.

Nike Blazer Hi “Bo Jackson”

Posted: 30 Jul 2009 09:30 AM PDT

Nike Blazer

Multiple Bo Jackson inspired sneakers seem to be dominating the sneaker scene as of late. We have already spotted the release of the Nike Air Trainer II “Tecmo Bo” colorways, the upcoming Nike Air Trainer SC Total Orange and the recently-released Nike Air Trainer III “Medicine Ball”. Along with the latter sneaker mentioned, Standard now has the Nike Blazer Hi “Bo Jackson” in stock.

Similar to the previously mentioned Nike Air Trainer II “Tecmo Bo” colorways, this particular sneaker also incorporates a pixelated design; however, instead of containing the design only on the tongue area, this Blazer Hi features the design throughout the side panels and heel section. The color scheme, which features two shades of blue (powder blue, royal blue), is obviously inspired by the Kansas City Royals (Jackson’s first baseball team). Click here to view additional photos.

Air Jordan Fusion 4 Cement Pack

Posted: 30 Jul 2009 08:09 AM PDT

Air Jordan Fusion 4 Cement Pack

We got a sneak peek at the Varsity Red and Cement colorway of the Air Jordan Fusion 4 not too long ago. The colorway was well received, although as with many Jordan purists, there were those that just won’t support any Fusions.

The Air Jordan Fusion 4 Cement Pack has arrived at Nike and includes the aforementioned Varsity Red/Cement colorway, as well as an unseen Varsity Royal/Cement combination. The Varsity Royal colorway is very reminiscent of the notorious Eminem 4’s, of course, with some various Fusion features added in to the mix. Overall the combination is on point in both colorways, and you can pick them up now for $160.

Click here to view additional photos. Thanks to John Lyon for the heads up!

Nike Air Trainer III “Medicine Ball”

Posted: 30 Jul 2009 07:52 AM PDT

Nike Air Trainer III

We have spotlighted this Nike Air Trainer III “Medicine Ball” on two occasions within the past two weeks, and there has been nothing but positive comments on this highly anticipated sneaker. Well, to grant your wishes earlier, this Air Trainer III is now available at select retailers such as Standard for $110.

Obviously, pertaining to its nickname, this particular sneaker possesses medicine ball colored leather on the toe area, heel panel and laceholder section. In addition, navy blue details also grace the upper in the form of the three Nike logos and quarter panel area. Many of you may have had horrible experiences with medicine balls in the past, however, picking these up from select retailers will not be as heavy (not even on the pocket). Click here to view additional photos.
