New Balance 574 Lux

Posted: 13 Oct 2009 12:58 PM PDT

New Balance 574 LuxThe New Balance 574 first hit the streets and running trails in 1988 featuring the New Balance ENCAP system providing stability and extra cushioning.  The shoe made a big return in the past decade in the lifestyle category, but this season the New Balance 574 makes an appearance that takes things a step higher.

The New Balance 574 Lux brings the hertitage of the classic silhouette with its simple shape and comfort, but the upper receives a luxurious treatment of fine materials.  The shoe utilizes a very rich and soft crinkled leather around the toe cap as well as side and real panels with an added interest of perforated leather on the toe box, tongue, and ankle collar.  Finishing off the luxurious feel, the shoe is lined with a soft leather and the branded with a sleeker tag on the tongue.

Look for the New Balance 574 Lux this holiday season at select New Balance Lifestyle retailers in black as well as navy for $110.  Click here to see more detailed shots.

Nike Zoom Skyposite Yi Jianlian PE

Posted: 13 Oct 2009 12:28 PM PDT

Nike Zoom Skyposite Yi Jianlian PE

Yi Jianlian isn’t exactly Yao Ming. Yi Jianlian isn’t anywhere close in fact, but when you’re one of two players from a nation of more than one billion people to play in the NBA, you’re big time enough to get your own PE. And that’s just what Nike’s done for New Jersey Nets power forward with this Nike Zoom Skyposite.

We’ve seen the Skyposite in a number of colorways, varying from a simple black carbon fiber color-up to a lime green “Kryptonate” take, but this PE may be the cleanest attempt yet. These feature a pearl white carbon fiber upper with a navy blue midsole, Swoosh and liner. These colors, of course, come straight from the Nets’ uniforms. No word on a worldwide release just yet, but don’t be surprised if these become available as a China-only exclusive, and definitely be on the lookout for him in these come Kicks on Court.

Are these your favorite Skyposites yet? How do they compare to Amare Stoudemire’s black and purple joints?

Nike Delta Force Low AC

Posted: 13 Oct 2009 11:28 AM PDT

Nike Delta Force Low AC

The next classic Nike silhouette to get the Autoclave treatment is this Delta Force Low AC. We saw the high version in AC last month, but this low version has surfaced and is available now on eBay from ID4 Shoes.

This version uses the same vulcanized sole as the high-top, using white as a base color with a black stripe. Matching that stripe are the uppers, which mix mesh and leather, both in black. The tongue label matches too, working a black-on-black color-up. Rather than use a black Swoosh with white contrast stitching to match the sole and accents like the high ACs, these utilize a white Swoosh to bring the colorway full circle.

How do these compare to the other Nike Autoclaves we’ve seen, like the Dunk Hi AC TZ? Do they beat out the Auto Force 180 and their vulcanized sole? Head to the comments section and weigh in on these.

adidas Originals Stan Smith 2 for Christmas

Posted: 13 Oct 2009 10:43 AM PDT

Adidas Stan Smith 2 for Christmas

It’s not even Halloween yet and adidas has rolled out this Stan Smith 2 for the Holiday season. Decked out in Christmas colors, this low-cut classic is available now in Japan at Flauge, with more than enough time to get it gift-wrapped and put under the tree.

The entirety of the uppers is decked out in forest green suede. A nice furry red liner completes the color scheme, while gold accents add in some more traditional colors. Gold foil text spells out “Seasons Greetings” in the place of “Stan Smith” along the mid-section. The real Christmas touches appear on the heel panel and tongue, where the adidas logo is complimented with wreath and mistletoe designs. Also included with the sneaker is a small toy designed to match the sneakers.
