The NBA All-Star Game is only a few weeks away. While the best players in the league are half-heartedly playing defense and having fun on the court, the weekend of the game represents a chance for those players’ supporters to grab special editions of their signature shoes. And because it wouldn’t be a special shoe weekend without at least one Air Force 1, Nike went ahead and design four, which we’re seeing in detail now.
It turns out all four will release as quickstrikes in between now and game. We’ve previewed the red and white pairs together awhile back, before getting a look at the blue and grey pairs. All three lows rely on single-color patent leather uppers with a contrasting Swoosh, while the lone Hi uses a grey and black color-up. All four also feature a “Basketball in Texas” design.
The aforementioned New Balance 1500 features a simple color combination of light grey, dark grey and navy blue. Specifically, the latter color appears mostly around the midfoot area, tongue and on the sole. Both shades of grey are visible throughout most of the base. As for the H710 Boots, colorways include black, tan and brown. Their most distinctive element is the unique boot-like lacing construction. All four sneakers will show up in retailers during the fall/winter season. Click here to view more photos.
The Air Jordan 1 “AJKO” went from big rumor to big draw in a matter of months. We first covered and confirmed the forthcoming retro of this specially-constructed AJ1 just over a week ago, but now have a way to ensure you’ll have your own pair when they officially release.
Rather than use the traditional leather makeup we’ve seen a great number of times, these rely on canvas for their panels. The color blocking is the same as the original White/Varsity Red-Black pair, with the exceptions of the heel panel being changed to white and a bit of black trim being added above it. Some leather panels are actually used in the black Swoosh and the upper flap, which is emblazoned with the Air Jordan Wings logo (complete with “AJKO” writing). Complimenting the vintage appeal of the canvas build is the sole, which has been given a pre-worn look. Reserve yours now at rmk store.
At the end of last week, we gave you a first look at the newly-designed Hellz Bellz x Vans collaboration which will release very season. This collaborative effort, which was designed solely for the women, features a Hadley model inspired by Lanie Alabanza’s (Hellz Bellz label owner) love for motorcycles and a Vans saddle shoe dubbed the Sophie. View the video above to see some of this joint effort’s inspirations and its design process.
The Puma Dallas hasn’t been seen on this site, though the silhouette has been around for some time. For this retro, which is set to release in March, royal blue was chosen as the base color.
Suede is used for the construction of the upper, similar to the way many of Cyldes will look for Spring. The eyelets used along the midfoot are metal and match the blue used throughout. The classic Puma arch is done with metallic silver, as well as the Puma label just above it.
Anytime Kobe Bryant steps foot in the Garden against the Knicks, you can expect a monstrous game from him. However, before his game against the Knicks tomorrow, he will make an appearance at the House of Hoops in New York.
Kobe Bryant, arguably the best player in the NBA, will be there to meet fans and sign autographs. However, his main focus will be to promote his fifth signature Nike sneaker, the Nike Zoom Kobe V. Also, they’re giving away tickets at House of Hoops today for select people to attend an exclusive event with Kobe after the game tomorrow night. Check out a full flyer of the event after the jump.

The next Nike Air Max LeBron VII hints at the possibility of a Team Bank run of simple two- and three-color releases sometime in the near future. Then again, they could also just work as another option for LeBron when the Cavs sport their Hardwood Classics uniforms. Using Varsity Royal as an accent over a Cool Grey base, these are identical to the Grey/Orange pair we’ve seen twice now.
Blue is used on the outsole and Air Max bag, Swoosh and Flywire threading, among other areas. Grey patent leather is used on the wrap-around toe and mudguard areas, as well as the midfoot. White is used on the midsole and also the Swoosh outline.
