Clae Thompson Sage

Clae’s Spring lineup got many of our readers excited on the casual sneaker brand. And with good reason. Just released for sale is a pair that wasn’t previewed, but should keep you going. The Thompson is available now in Sage.

The mid-top sneaker uses nubuck for its entire construction. The colorway in monochromatic also, as it features the same tan color all over, with the exception of the white top eyelet and off-white sole. Perforated nubuck is used on the ankle section, while the remainder of the shoe is done with solid materials.

New Balance BB790 "Celtics"

On the heels of James Worthy’s own “Lakers” color-up is this tribute to his cross-country rivals the Boston Celtics. The BB790’s ultra high cut is definitely a deal-maker or deal-breaker, as proven in the comments section.

White perforated leather is used on the upper ankle. Regular leather fills in the remainder. Green leathe ris put to work on the New Balance “N” logo along the mid-panel, on the heel and at two other places. That same distinct hue of green is used on the outsole toe and on the over-sized tongue label. These are available now at Shelta and other select retailers.

Bape Spring/Summer 2010 Preview

A couple of weeks ago, we showed you a preview of Bape Spring/Summer 2010 which featured a few new models including a Nike Air Force 1 lookalike. Now, photos of more Spring-release Bape models have surfaced on the web.

Bape will release the Quick Sta in two subtle colorways this upcoming spring. The Quick Sta is a simple, low-cut silhouette that features a three-strap design across the midfoot. At a first glance, this shoe resembles the Adidas Superstar minus the velcro straps. One Quick Sta colorway features a predominately black leather base with minimal white accents, while the remaining pair owns sort of a reverse color scheme. Although this model is set for a spring release, you can find it now at select Bape retailers. Click here to view more photos.

Nike Challenger Anthracite/Volt

Nike Challenger Anthracite/Volt

The old school Challenger from Nike is back for 2010. Using a proven color accent we saw most recently on a Toki ND, this runner is sure to garner some attention from fans of the classics.

Anthracite suede is used on the toe, heel and midfoot. That same color was also chosen for the nylon in the middle of the shoe and the mesh on the toe box. A white liner and midsole are used to match up with the laces. Finally, Volt is used on the Swoosh and heel tab, which pops right off of the dark color used throughout. These are available now at Kix-Files.

Nike Air Max LeBron VII Christ The King PE

Posted: 22 Jan 2010 09:58 AM PST

Nike Air Max LeBron VII "Christ The King"

At first glance you might confuse these with the signature shoes LeBron wore en route to beating the Lakers last night. While the colorway is somewhat similar, these Nike Air Max LeBron VIIs are actually the latest Christ The King PEs from LBJ’s shoe line.

We saw a Zoom Soldier 3 use this colorway most recently. Maroon is used on the entire uppe,r including the Flywire-infused mid-panel.Gold threading in that Flywire matches with the top double-eyelet, LBJ23 logo near the heel and Swoosh surround. White is used on the mudguard, outsole and Swoosh, finishing the colorway. Finishing the PE itself though is the “Christ The King” label on the inner heel area where the LBJ23 logo is usually used.
