Nike Dynasty High Navy/White

Nike Dynasty High Navy/White

A new colorway of the old school Nike Dynasty High has landed at select retailers, including the Sportswear store at 21 Mercer. These are far more simple than the last pair we saw of the Dynasty Highs, which displayed a Black/Metallic Silver-Safety Orange colorway.

Navy blue leather is used for the upper on the toe, quarter and ankle. The navy blue outsole matches the uppers’ majority. The ankle panels, Swoosh and toe box have all been dressed in white leather, while the strap and midsole use the same hue. Grab these now from Mercer or check with your local Nike retailer.

Reebok Court Victory Pump “Hawaiian” Pack

Reebok Court Victory Pump "Hawaiian" Pack

Four colorways of both the Court Victory Pump and the Insta Pump Fury have been done as a part of the Reebok “Hawaiian Pack.” When we checked out the four low models, they were received so poorly they were chosen as the “Ugly” representative in our weekly “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly” recap. Will the Court Victory suffer the same fate?

Blue, red, black and purple leather uppers were chosen. Each is accented with a complementary color, with the exception of the blue pair, which maintains an aesthetic to the 20th Anniversary The Pump designed by Kicks Hawaii. The prints used on the others in this pack appear again, though only on the liners of each shoe.

What are some of your sneaker-related pet peeves? Maybe a very nice sneaker only in kid sizes (see Air Jordan 12 Retro Black/Purple). Or could it be when the display sneaker is dirty and worn out? Either way, there are a slew of things that irk us in regards to sneakers

On the Daily has portrayed one of these pet peeves through a comic strip. Don’t you hate when someone serving you is on the phone the entire time? Check the entire strip after the jump to see what happens to the customer that deals with this disrespectful merchant.

New Balance 525 "Mardi Gras" Pack

The city of New Orleans has a lot to celebrate this week. Between winning the Super Bowl this past weekend, and Mardi Gras being this coming extended weekend, it’s safe to say that not much work is being done throughout the city. This “Mardi Gras” Pack from New Balance consists of two 525s, and provides nice opportunities to don the official colors of the French Quarter.

The first pair utilizes a black leather base, with hits of patent near the collar. Green trim appears on the tongue, mid-panel and forefoot, while gold outlines the N logo. Purple also works its way in on the liner and heel trim. The other pair uses white instead, with black and purple attributes throughout. A flor de lis appears on the heel tab, while other special hints include the three bead dubrae and insole design. If you’re more stoked on the Saints’ victory, make sure to check our list of 23 Black & Gold Sneakers for “Who Dat?” Nation.
