Jordan Melo M6 Future Sole Playoff Editions

The Future Sole version of the Jordan Melo M6 has been readers’ choice over the standard version since it first debuted. With Melo and the Nuggets engaged in a tight Playoff battle with the Jazz, the shoe is getting more exposure than ever. Though Anthony opted for a new version of the standard M6 for last night’s game, he’s been sporting some of the colorways of the Future Sole version throughout the Playoffs and will continue to if his squad advances.

Three versions each were done for both the Away and Home looks, alternating between light and dark uppers. 2 make use of black bases and another uses navy, while all three colorways for home games utilize white leather as a base. Golden yellow, light blue, navy and multiple shades of elephant print can be found throughout the collection. Which version is your favorite?

Vans Syndicate TNT II Mid Cup S “Camo”

Posted: 29 Apr 2010 12:28 PM PDT

We have only seen one Vans Syndicate creation this year in the form of the “Andy Kessler” Pack (with the exception of the Luke Meier x Vans Syndicate First Look). However, the second Vans Syndicate release of the year comes in the form of this “Camo” TNT II Mid Cup S.

The TNT II Mid Cup S is a Vans model we rarely see; yet, if Vans continues to create them with such great detail, we wouldn’t mind seeing more. At a first glance, this TNT II Mid seems to possess a traditional camo-print upper that we have seen on a number of sneakers. Yet, this sneaker is actually constructed of a premium fabric called “Multicam” by Crye Precision. This particular material, which is used to design military uniforms, is very durable and can withstand the most rigorous surroundings. The gum bottom, brown laces and brown, net-like inner lining, accompany the camo base nicely. Available now at CaliRoots. View detailed photos below.

Nike Shox Vision Brad Miller PEs

Nike Shox Vision Brad Miller PEs

When you think of nice PEs, Brad Miller probably isn’t the first name that comes to mind. Still, the Bulls forward stayed true to the Nike Shox Vision all season in a number of Chicago-specific color-ups. Though he won’t be seen on the court in any of them until next season, thanks to LeBron and company, we’re taking a look at different versions today.

Two rely on white uppers to match the Bulls’ home uniforms. White patent leather wraps around the collar and heel, while matching leather fills out the upper. One remains nearly all white save for a few red accents, while the other gets a hit of patent on the toe and a black Swoosh and outsole. The third pair is mant for road trips and features a black uppers. Red and white both help out of course, and all three shoes feature “BM” on the heel.

Converse Japan Chuck Taylor & Jack Purcell

Posted: 29 Apr 2010 11:28 AM PDT

Converse has released some very nice Chuck Taylors and Jack Purcells as of late including the Jack Purcell Sailcloth OX, the Missoni x Converse Chuck Taylor and the Chuck Taylor “Parachute” Pack. In addition, Converse Japan is set to release four new styles in May.

Converse Japan will release two Chuck Taylor Highs, two Chuck Taylor Lows, two Jack Purcells and one One Star. The latter sneaker owns an off-white base fused with a red inner lining and a blue vulcanized rubber sole, giving it a nice, patriotic feel. As for the Chuck Taylors, they contain monochromatic finishes with one hi-top/low-top set colored in red and the other in white. Lastly, Converse applied a gingham design to the two Jack Purcell colorways; one features a Red/White-Black color scheme, while the remaining pair owns a simple black/white colorway. As stated earlier, look for this lineup to surface next month. View the entire collection below.

Alife Chuck Low Canvas

Alife Chuck Low

The chukka style sneaker is nothing new, especially lately, as numerous brands have taken on the design to capitalize on the casual look. The Alife Chuck has been around for some time, but this Low version promises to offer the same look when the weather heats up and you opt for shorts.

The simple upper is made of canvas and segmented into two main panels. Two eyelets on either side of the midfoot hold the matching laces in place, while a white textured sole has been implemented. Monochromatic builds of black, navy, white and red are available, with all four making use of a white and bright blue strip of fabric along the heel.

Posted: 29 Apr 2010 10:28 AM PDT

We are now two days away from the release of the “Silver Anniversary” Air Jordan 11 Retro as it will hit retailers this Saturday, May 1st, 2010. However, it is now starting to surface at select overseas retailers such as Gettry.

Many of you have stated that this is, and will be, the best “Silver Anniversary” Air Jordan release of 2010. On the contrary, others have criticized this shoe because of the lack of a Jumpman logo anywhere on the upper. Nonetheless, the icy sole paired with the all-white leather/patent leather base makes for a very clean look. Is this a definite purchase for you this Saturday? View detailed photos below.

Video: Making of “Nike Music Shoe”

Posted: 29 Apr 2010 09:58 AM PDT

When we first showed you Nike’s recent viral video “Nike Music Shoe,” readers were amazed to see musicians turn footwear into music. Consumer skepticism made most believe it was a simple trick played on us by Nike, but in fact the shoes were actually making the music.

In the above video, Wieden + Kennedy takes a look behind the scenes of that commercial. From creating the music shoes to learning to play them to finally making music, we see it all. If nothing else, this video is an amazing example of what can be done with a little bit of creative thinking.
