New Orleans center Emeka Okafor was spotted in our Kicks On Court wearing a Nike Blue Chip II PE; however, it is safe to say some of his better Nike Basketball PEs are only seen in photos (see Okafor’s Nike Hypermax PEs). We have now received photos of his ‘Home’ and ‘Away’ Nike Air Max Hyperize PEs. Obviously, Okafor’s PEs have been designed to match the New Orleans Hornets jerseys. His ‘Away’ PEs, shown above, features a mostly black leather base with purple and blue accents, mainly seen on the flywire side panels, the shoelaces, the tongue and the outsole. It also contains a purple visible Air sole unit and a purple/blue outsole. Emeka Okafor’s nickname ‘THE PICK’ (referencing him being the first number 1 pick for the Charlotte Bobcats) is spotted to on the tongue along with his jersey number. View detailed photos below. Complex took a break from the hip hop artists for the last two Greatest Footwear Moments installments as they showcased skater Paul Rodriguez and model Amber Rose. However, this week, Complex caters to the hip hop community again by highlighting Louisiana rapper Curren$y’s Greatest Footwear Moments. Curren$y has always let us know that he is one of the fly rappers in the hip hop community with album/mixtapes titles such as Jet Files, Pilot Talk, Music to Fly to, and How Fly. | Nike Dunk High Supreme “Polka Dot” Posted: 19 May 2010 11:58 AM PDT What design hasn’t the Nike Dunk model seen? This year alone, we have spotted this sneaker owning a gingham design, patchwork attributes and a 100% canvas-textured base, just to name a few. In addition, Nike will unleash this Dunk High Supreme “Polka Dot” during the fall 2010 season. The enlarged matte silver polka dots, seen throughout the heel panel, side panels and toe area, give this shoe anything but a subtle look. The rest of the upper is colored in black along with the swoosh, and the midsole/outsole is done up in white and grey, respectively. One of the more interesting qualities about this shoe is that it possesses Zoom unit soles which has not been seen on the Dunk this year (evident by the red Nike tongue logo). The Nike Dunk High Supreme “Polka Dot” is set to release in the fall; however it is now available at select retailers including Atmos. Many of you really liked the way the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte II “Super Red” was showcased last week. The comment section did not contain one negative comment which is a rarity for any sneaker. Either this “Super Red” Asics Gel Lyte III is that good or your comments were moved by other forces features in the photos. Nonetheless, we must applaud Ronnie Fieg for this fresh design on the Asics Gel Lyte III. The Asics Gel Lyte III "Super Red" is set to release this Friday, May 21st, 2010 at 10AM on Davidz.com as well as the David Z flagship store in Soho. This particular sneaker is limited to only 252 pairs and will priced at $90. This release will be accompanied by an exclusive "Super Red" T-Shirt that will be given upon purchase. With its ode to a classic colorway from the Air Max 95 and its updated hybrid technology and looks, it makes perfect sense that demand is high. This next pair possesses all the same quality, but it pays tribute to a different AM95 look: the “Chili.” This Air Max 24-7 shows the same basic layout of the aforementioned “Neon” shoe, but instead uses red throughout. The upper shows the classic layered gradient pattern, fading from black to white. The mid-panel Swoosh, AM2009 Max Air unit and lace hoops are all “Chili” red. These are starting to hit shops nationwide, so check with your local retailer. Following the Nike Air Max Hyperize Amar’e Stoudemire PEs we showed you earlier this month, we now have spotted his Nike Hyperize player exclusives . Although Stoudemire has been faithfully wearing the Nike KD II this postseason, it’s still nice to see detailed photos of some fresh PEs. This particular Nike Hyperize, which is being currently worn by Amar’e’s teammate Jared Dudley, contains a black base with multiple purple and orange attributes to match the Suns jerseys. In detail, orange laces, a purple mesh tongue and a orange-outlined purple swoosh, are just a few of the Phoenix Suns attributes. One of the more interesting features on this Hyperize is the translucent flywire design seen on the side panels. View more photos below. This pair, which we previewed in detail some time ago, has been made available at Nike Store. Wicked Purple covers the entire upper, which is constructed with suede, mesh and Torch.
