Video: Jay Wise – “Sneaker Head” Posted: 03 Dec 2010 12:58 PM PST “Kermit the Frog…look it up on the blogs, maybe Nice Kicks…Hypebeast for hype s**t, Dunk Hi…Wu-Tang all about my fly kicks.” – Jay Wise “Sneaker Head” The sneaker culture and music industry are tied together in an abundance of ways to say the least. New hip hop artist Jay Wise collides the two in a creative manner with his new song titled “Sneaker Head”. Wise uses the “I’m Addicted” Cassie sample and raps about his addiction for kicks. Nike Air Go LWP Black/Varsity Royal-White Posted: 03 Dec 2010 12:28 PM PST Scottie Pippen isn’t the only former NBA great Nike is showing love to this year. Much like the anticipated return of the Air More Uptempo, the Nike Air Go LWP is back in OG form. Penny and a number of other stars wore this shoe on the court in the 90s and now you can rock it, too. Black nubuck and white leather come together on the wildly-designed shoe, while Varsity Royal hits appear on the toe, ankle and liner. Select retailers, including Nice Kicks, are selling this shoe for $120 now. Nike LeBron 8 Black/Anthracite New Images Posted: 03 Dec 2010 11:28 AM PST LeBron James was obviously the talk of the NBA last night, as he returned to Cleveland for the first time in this young NBA season. Many sneaker enthusiasts expected him to wear this Black/Anthracite Nike LeBron 8 in last night’s game; yet, as seen in our Kicks On Court earlier today, James rocked a slightly different version. Nevertheless, we will get a chance at wearing this sneaker, as it is expected to release on December 11th, 2010, for $160. This particular colorway of the LeBron 8 is a direct opposite of the previously-released “South Beach” Nike LeBron 8 in terms of style. A predominately black base, with minimal Anthracite colored accents (laces, swoosh border), give this shoe a very subtle look. It’s nearly all-black-everything construction should be a hit amongst sneaker consumers much like the all-black makeups of his last two signatures. View detailed photos below. Nike SFB Chukka AFE Dark Obsidian Posted: 03 Dec 2010 10:58 AM PST Camo clad and winter ready, the Nike SFB Chukka AFE Dark Obsidian is a fresh alternative to street stompers and trail tennies that usually dominate the season. A chukka style midtop boot is set on a free outsole for a modern and fashionable look that is functional as well. A highlight from the limited Athletics Far East collection, these have surfaced overseas at Cali Roots. Nike Air More Uptempo Black/White Posted: 03 Dec 2010 10:28 AM PST Last night, fans in Cleveland berated LeBron with chants of “Scottie Pippen.” While it was intended to be an insult, it’s safe to assume most of us would probably love to be compared to a Hall of Fame hooper with six championship rings. If you happen to be in that camp, you’ll be happy to know that Scottie’s Nike Air More Uptempo is now available at select Nike accounts. The oversized “AIR” along the sides will make sure everyone knows the Swoosh is responsible for the full-length Max Air and nubuck construction. This material choices harks back to the OG’s make-up in 1996 and renews the feeling of nostalgia that makes this shoe special. Grab a pair at Nice Kicks for $160. Marcus Jordan Rocks “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 11s on Court Posted: 03 Dec 2010 09:58 AM PST We understand if you get jealous after simply reading the title of this post. It’s ok, just be patient. Marcus Jordan, son of Michael Jordan, debuted the 2010 version of the Air Jordan 11 “Cool Grey” on court. The University of Central Florida guard led his team in an upset victory over the No. 16 Florida Gators while wearing this highly-anticipated, December 23rd release. Marcus Jordan has sported some top-of-the-line Air Jordan Retros ever since the settlement of the brand dispute over Marcus Jordan’s shoes. In addition to the “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 11s, Marcus has been spotted in the “Space Jam” Air Jordan 11s and the “Rising Sun” Air Jordan 12s, just to name a couple. Who else is impatiently awaiting the release of the “Cool Grey” Air Jordan 11s after seeing these photos?
