In Retrospect: Air Jordan 2 “Premio” Posted: 09 Apr 2011 07:28 PM PDT Jordan Brand first shelled out information about its highly-detailed Air Jordan Bin 23 Collection in February of last year; however, it was not until April when we received the first Bin 23 offering in the form of this Air Jordan 2 “Premio”. Jordan Brand described the "Bin 23? lineup as a collection that “displays the evolution of the brand through each sneaker's history and mastery“. The Air Jordan 2 “Premio” is dressed in a rich, chocolate brown leather with brown crocodile located throughout the side panels. Did you purchase the Air Jordan 2 “Premio”, and was it worth the money you paid for it ? If not, are you wishing you would have snagged this shoe last April? How does this particular colorway of the Air Jordan 2 compare to other colorways of this shoe that released last year (White/Varsity Red-Black, University Blue/Black, "Candy" Pack)? Lastly, was this one of your favorite releases of 2010? Let us know your thoughts on the Air Jordan 2 “Premio” in the comment section below! © George Kiel III for NiceKicks.com, 2011. | Permalink | 22 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
Posted: 09 Apr 2011 07:13 PM PDT Is spring the best time of the year for sneakers? This week made a strong case that it is. The staff was more than pleased with some of the offerings we received, ranging from an Air Jordan bring-back to some simple summer silhouettes in light colors. Check out what our team liked most and then let us know your own preference in the comments section. George Kiel III am going to go with a Nike Air Max 90 for the second week in a row. Last week, the “Medium Grey” Nike Air Max 90 caught my attention because of its simplicity, and this AM90 does it again for me. I really dig the Glacier Blue hints on the swoosh and Air Max heel unit. Definitely, a spring-ready shoe. We also spotted Blake Griffin wearing a new Nike Hyperdunk 2011 colorway, while Ty Lawson and Andre Igoudala showed their support for NBA’s annual “Green Week”. Lastly, Paul Millsap wore a new NikeiD version of the classic Zoom Huarache 2K4. Check out today’s Kicks On Court Weekly Recap – Fab Five. Nike continues to lace Blake Griffin with new colorways of the yet-to-be-releases Nike Hyperdunk 2011. This black/blue-white colorway marks the third new Nike Hyperdunk 2011 we have seen on Blake Griffin’s feet. It seems as if a few breathtaking dunks can get you just about anything from the Nike vault. Every year, multiple players around the NBA rock green sneakers for the NBA’s annual “Green Week” celebration. In detail, NBA teams and players wear green (in some form) in hopes of generating awareness and funding to preserve the environment. Andre Iguodala showed his support through NikeiD by rocking a very nice pair of Kobe VIs. Much like Andre Iguodala, Ty Lawson laced up a green sneaker for NBA’s “Green Week”. However, his sneaker selection was much more shocking. Lawson laced up the “Electric Green” Nike Air Foamposite Pro against the Lakers on Sunday afternoon. Is this one of the better sneakers in Kicks On Court this year? The Nike Zoom Huarache 2K4 is arguably the most popular shoe on NikeiD not named the Kobe VI. Thursday night, Paul Millsap laced up one of the better colorways we have seen on this revamped classic. Gilbert Arenas re-emerged as the king of Kicks On Court this season. This week, we spotted him in the “Chambray” Air Jordan, and we also spotted him wearing the “Silver Anniversary” Air Jordan 4 and the “Flint” Air Jordan 13 in the same game. © George Kiel III for NiceKicks.com, 2011. | Permalink | 3 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
Posted: 09 Apr 2011 06:22 PM PDT Today, Nike adds to the long list of Nike Blazer Mid colorways with a simple yet creative look. This pair is pretty straightforward with a completely black sole and upper that is combined with a plethora of premium grade materials. The leather used on the majority of the upper is a tumbled high quality material, while the Swoosh makes use of a chenille synthetic material. A vulcanized sole finishes the pair off perfectly for an all around great pair of kicks. Source: Cali Roots © Albert Lin for NiceKicks.com, 2011. | Permalink | 4 comments | Add to del.icio.us |
