The Detroit native decided Day 16 was the perfect time to represent for his Detroit Tigers with the "Season Ticket" New Balance 574. Made to emulate the team's cap, the representation is perfect, thanks in part to the hologram licensing sticker-inspired tongue tag and raised stitching N logo. For those not willing to endure the lines though, the Air Jordan 2.0 Black/Varsity Red-Green might be a good option. | This Day In Sneaker History: Iverson Steps Over Tyronn Lue in 2001 NBA Finals Posted: 16 Jun 2011 10:58 AM PDT Allen Iverson was not a fun and easy person to guard in his prime. Ask Michael Jordan, Reggie Miller and all of the other guards that were active during his days in the City of Brotherly Love. As fans, we witnessed countless crossovers, hesitations and step back moves that made helpless defenders look really bad. Our “This Day In Sneaker History” column showcases one of the more memorable Allen Iverson highlights in his career. On June 16, Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers stole a nail-biting game 1 from the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2001 NBA Finals. The game 1 win was very shocking, but the way in which AI won the game will never leave our memories. While wearing a black and white version of the Reebok Answer IV, Iverson crossed helpless Tyronn Lue over, drained the shot and politely (if you will) stepped over a grounded Lue as he made his way to the other end of the court. Is this Iverson’s most memorable moment or does the MJ crossover sit above all of Iverson’s highlights?
